Our Halloween!

So today we went on to a Halloween/ Birthday party for my friend Candy. We had such a good time and we all HAD to dress up.
It worked out great for me I just threw some of my mom's curlers in my hair and said I was a mom (even kept my pjs on from that day, lol)

Derek is the scary one behind wyatt in the big white hat.

Busy day!

Meet Dixie!
First we ran around alot and did some errands. Then we went and picked up our new puppy, Dixie, at the pound. (thanks kimi for the name). We then went home with Dixie whinning at my feet while I made a pumpkin roll and homemade chili. After I got it all done we all sat on the couch, Dixie needed to cuddle, and she slept for several hours. Later that night Tom and Ester came over, we had chili and carved pumpkins.Derek's , mine and Wyatt's, Tom & Ester's

In loving memory

We had a very sad day, our doggie Lady was hit and killed by a car Saturday. We are all very torn up about it, Derek the most since she died in his arms and just a few minutes earlier he was playing with her. Wyatt and I were away in Yakima visiting my boys, but luckly family and friends helped him out and took care of him, he was in pretty bad shape. It was hard to walk up to the house and not hear her whinning for us to hurry up and let her out of the kennell.
Wyatt has been a rock and comforted Derek and I both by saying 'it's OK we will get a new Lady. Don't be sad" But of course no new dog could replace her, she was such a sweetie.

She loved to cuddle and sleep under our blankets at night.

She loved being picked up and carried around by Derek.

She loved to play catch with her soccer ball.

She loved wrestling with wyatt and following him around trying to steal what ever he was eating.

Opening Day

So today started several months of cold early mornings for my husband, opening day of duck season. Lat year was a total bust, but maybe this year will be better. Wyatt did not like him being gone all morning though, but was excited to see the goose he brought home. And he loved cleaning guns with daddy later that night. He really does just want to be like his dad.

Eww! And yes Wyatt did wash his hands immediately after touching that thing.

So next is my menu for the week. I will be gone sat and sun next weekend so the menu is a little short this week. I have made this Greek chicken before and it is so moist and yummy don't know why I waited so long to make it again.

~Homemade pizza

~Jambalaya, w/ brown rice

~Italian cream cheese chicken over pasta, garlic bread

~Greek Chicken, garlic roasted potatoes, Cesar salad

~Leftover night

~Friday night Wing night

One of those days

ahhh I hate those mornings were you just need a quick shot of strength and caffeine to feel like you are going to make it through the morning. Wyatt would not give up on pepperoni and crackers or cheez its for breakfast. Even though over and over I told him his choices were eggo, apple or Life cereal. He did finally choose eggo and apple, but man. I still haven't opened up my Dr.Pepper, really need to do that and take a nice long drink.

Got to get us in the shower because Wyatt has school today, man in like 90 min, ahhh. Were is the morning going... OH yea dishes, checkbook and emails.

So last night we had a really quick and easy dessert that I found on Sandra's blog, it was called 5 minute chocolate mug cake. And it really only did take 5 minutes. You cook it in a mug in the microwave and all the ingredients you have right in your cupboard. It was very good, you and your kids should totally check it out.

Here are pictures of Wyatt at school Tuesday.

How did you do?

How did you do yesterday, did you start your Card list?

I did and now I am working on the addresses, making sure I have all teh right ones and if I need any new ones getting those. This year will go nice and smooth and I won't be scrabbling at the last minute to get it done.

Next on my list to do is figure out what homemade gifts (mini albums) I need to make and for who.

Menu Plan Monday

So not to much is happening here right now, dinner is in the oven, I do have several things coming up though. I love having things on my calender. It sounds weird but I love having everything planned out and written on the calender. I love to see my calender full. I hate not knowing what is going to happen. Let's just say if we doing something spontaneous it still gets put up on the calender. I'm weird like that.

~On Tuesday Wyatt goes to school and then I watch my sister, Dani's kids, for her pregnancy appt..

~Wednesday help Ester out.

~Thursday Wyatt has school again and then we are driving out to Olympia (1.5 hrs away) to watch my son, Colton, play soccer.
