Scrap weekend

Well I haven't said how that went yet, but let me tell you it was sooo good. All us girls got along so well, we cried, laughed, it was just the best (we missed you beth). We all clicked so well, we were all so alike in our faith and habits, we even all scrapped kind of alike or at least liked the same stuff. Alot of product passing, which is nice because we all had soemthing different in our stacks, I should say mounds of stuff as you can see by the pics below. These are just a few of them when I get the others from Joleen I will post those too.that is my mess.
Oh and a count down 12 days till my Birthday, yippee!

and 15 days till my sisters get here from Hawaii and Cali . Another Yippee!!

what a night

Well the night started out with me making dinner and slicing a portion off my right thumb with my pampered chef slicer, no I wasn't using the guard thing. So then I think I had the bandaid on to tight and my whole thumb is sore to the touch. Yea that's great, then to top it off Wyatt and I were up ALL night I think we got maybe 1 1/2 to 2 hours sleep the whole night, he kept scratching his butt and saying 'oww'. SO I took him in and find out he has strep throat in his throat and on his butt, so he has meds for both ends.
Hope all your days are going a little better.

a few recipes I am trying this week

Round Steak in Gravy

Round steak recipe with a tasty gravy made with onion soup mix.
INGREDIENTS:
3 to 4 pounds round steak, cut in portions
salt and pepper
flour
2 tablespoons oil
2 carrots sliced
2 onions, sliced
1 package dry onion and mushroom soup mix
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1 can water
PREPARATION:
Sprinkle round steak with salt and pepper, toss with flour. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a large skillet; brown steak pieces on both sides. Place half of round steak, carrots, and onions in crockpot. Combine dry onion and mushroom soup mix with cream of mushroom soup and water. Pour half of sauce over steak, carrots, and onions. Repeat layers. Cook on high 4 to 6 hours.Serves 8 to 12.

Pioneer Woman Chicken Spaghetti
2 cups cooked chicken
2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup finely diced green pepper
1/2 cup finely diced onion
1-4 oz jar diced pimentos, drained
3 cups dry spaghetti, broken into two inch pieces
2 cups reserved chicken broth from pot
1 teaspoon Lawry’s Seasoned Salt
1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 additional cup grated sharp cheddar cheese

Cook 1 cut up fryer and pick out the meat to make two cups. Cook spaghetti in same chicken broth until al dente. Do not overcook. When spaghetti is cooked, combine with remaining ingredients (the reserved chicken stock too) except additional 1 cup sharp cheddar. Place mixture in casserole pan and top with remaining sharp cheddar. Cover and freeze up to six months, cover and refrigerate up to two days, or bake immediately: 350 degrees for 45 minutes until bubbly. (If the cheese on top starts to get too cooked, cover with foil.)

Packed and ready to go...

So tomorrow after work I am off on a girls scrapbooking weekend. YEA! Thursday to Sunday afternoon, of food, no kids or hubbies, 6 other great ladies and lots and lots of scrapbooking. But before I say goodbye I thought I'd share this great paper storage idea I got off Tinalynn510's blog. I took the 3 different paper holders I had and moved all the paper into this plastic storage container and they are all seperated in Legal size file folders. It is so easy to carry and really easy to see everything I have. Plus it really made me realize I need to start using up the paper I have, hopefully this weekend.
OK well my 2 yo wants me to go and sit on the couch with him so I will talk to you all on sunday night, hopefully with lots of done layouts.

Happy Birthday Dani...

Wow yesterday and today have been so wonderful outside, sunny and slighlty warm. We aren't in spring weather yet, but I can feel it making its way.
Well we have had a busy week, lets see if I can remember everything we have done.
Wednesday night my sister and her family got here from their long drive from San Diego, CA. My sister's DH is being transfered up here, he's in the navy. I am so excited to get another one of my sister's back close to me, I love them all so much.
So then I worked Thursday from 10-3 and everyone helped my sister's family unpack the big UHaul truck, hehe so glad I got out of that. Then Derek and I went out to dinner with her family to a buffet (our hubby's like to eat alot).
Let's see Friday, I got my son, Colton, in the morning and then got my DH and wyatt's haircut, then again meet my sister and family for lunch and we all went to target and looked around. We then headed back to there house and hung out all night. We got Safeway chinese for dinner.
Oh then Sat., umm not much happened, I worked from 1-6, then stayed after for an hour or so during the store's crop and made a easter box to put on display a the store. My sister Dani showed up so i left with her and went back to her house, were my DH and kids were.
Then on Sunday we stayed home all morning and hung out. Then around 3 we; my sister Jen and her family, Dani and her family, my parent's and our family, all drove to Tacoma to a great BBQ restaraunt, Famous Dave's, for my sister, Dani's 31st birthday dinner. Man we had 15 people and my whole family wasn't even all there, if we all were there there would have been 9 more there, wow that's alot of people.
So then today Wyatt and ihave just been hanging out, we did go to Walmart with my sister, Dani, and then back to her house to eat lunch and now we are back home, I am supposed to be doing house work, but decided that I wanted to post a blog today about what we have been doing. So I guess I should go and get some laundry done and change our sheets.
Have a great day!

Just thinking out loud

So I have 3 1/2 weeks until my birthday, yea, I love birthdays.

And it is so cool ALL 5 of my sisters and their kids will be here visiting, how cool is that. There will be 14 grandkids here, so of course we will be getting pictures taken of them all together. Plus I am taking over the scrap stores crop that Saturday the 15th and having all my friends come (ok so I don't know enoough to fill the place) but it will be so cool to have all my friends and familiy there with me.

Plus I will be around 150 blog posts. That is my goal to be up to 150 that day. So since it will be such a celebration on my birthday week I am thinking I am going to do a RAK (random act of kindness) now people in the blogging/scrapbooking world all know what that is, so keep your eye out in a few weeks for a huge birthday celebration RAK.

A little late, but still yummy

Wyatt got a gingerbread house for Christmas from TeeTah and papa Randy, but we got it in Jan. when we went to Missouri and then it got shipped back home to us, well we did it and it was so much fun. Wyatt loved it and we all love picking at it. We definately need to do one in Dec. and have it around all Christams.

Yummy recipe

Hello I just wanted to share this yummy dinner we had the other night.

Country Chicken Casserole

3 C shredded hash browns
1 (6 0z) can French- fried onions
1 C shredded cheddar
4 Skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite size pieces
1 can Cream of chix soup
3/4 C milk
1 (15 oz) can corn ( I didn't add the corn)

Preheat oven to 375. Stir hash browns and 1/2 the onions together in a 9x13 inch baking dish, then lay cheese on top and layer chicken over cheese. In a small bowl mix soup and milk together and pour oven chicken.
Bake in preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear. If you are using corn, pour oven chicken and stir to combine all ingredients, then bake an additional; 20 min. Or until done.
Sprinkle remaining onions over all and bake for another 5 min, or until onions are golden brown. Let sit 5 min before serving.

Check out this mess

Man I really need to get with it and clean and organize my scrap space. I have been doing alot of crafts and not alot of layouts, but that needs to change now that I am working at the scrap store, I need to be able to hang some stuff up at the store.
So below is my mess, I do have some baskets on the shelf for big stuff, like stamps, ink, punches, tape, etc, but I think I need a few more of them and may need to turn them sideways to fit several more.
I am finding also thatI need to use up stuff I have, that pink bag is some stuff I just bought last week and I haven't even pulled it out of the bag. I have alot of paper and need to use it up because i already need to buy another paper holder, one of these cropper hopper things. I bought one several months ago, but yes now I need another one.I really wish I just had more space, but I guess som eis better than none.
I would love to see pics of your scrap space, mess or clean and see what you do with it all. So just leave me a link in the comments.

What a great day it turned out to be

I found out that I get to start working Friday at the Scrapbook Zone. YEA! totally excited I so wanted this job and can't wait to start. I have so many ideas for the store and can't wait to share them all with the girls.
And then the layout in my last post got picked by the wonderful Michelle Ramirez to be on SIStv Catwalk. For those who don't know SIStv (scrap in style tv) is the scrapbooking site I go to alot and each week each of the girls on the design team pick a layout that is there favorite for one reason or another. How cool is that. woot woot!!

Let's see oh then when I got home today I had a great package waititng for me from a girl on sistv, subbacultcha, I had entered a contest on her blog and won. Yea! I love getting things in the mail. How cute are these. Not sure what I am going to do with them, might just look at stare longingly, hehe.

Lots to see today..

Watch out for that tree.....(remember George of the jungle)
Well yesterday was so much fun, we went sledding at Hurricane Ridge with some friends. We had such a blast. It was a long drive there and back, but well worth it. Wyatt loved it, he didn't like the part of getting up the hill, but as soon as he was up there he wanted to go back down immediately. Here are a few pics from the day. And if the snow looks deep it's cause it is, Just the fresh snow, went up to your thighs trying to walk up the hill until it started to get compacted.

Oh and thank you Aunt Jenefer for the snow suit that you bought at a garage sale this summer for a buck, it was perfect.

So now onto boring stuff here is my menu plan for this week. Nothing to big we are trying to use up some stuff we have so we don't have to spend to much money this next week or so.

*Spaghetti w/meat sauce, garlic toast, salad

*Brushetta Chicken

*Rib sandwiches, homemade fires, corn

*Homemade Chili w/corn bread

*Sausage in tomatoe & onion, mashed potatoes

*Tuna Casserole, rolls

*Hamburger Helper, a quick fix meal, , if we need it

Valentine's Day Crafts
I had so much fun this week meeting my friend , Terry, at the LSS working on all this stuff. We made cards, felt books, Frapp. bottles and so much more. Here are a few pics of everything.
I had to make 15 of these frap. bottles.

I found this littel book on the Ali Edwards site, she has instructions on there on how to make it, so go check it out, so easy. And then a few of the cards i made. Sorry not the greatest pic.

Well man that was a ling blog, but alot of stuff to share with you.
