Time flies when your having fun..

So this Sunday, May 4, Wyatt will be 3.
Wow that is a long time.

He has grown so much just in these last few months. He wants to do everything himself.

-He can take a corndog out of the box from the freezer.
Put it in the microwave, close door.
Push the 30 sec. button twice.
Get the ketchup out of the fridge and put the ketchup on his own plate.

-He can undress himself, well he tries any way. He has gotten his pants on and off, just not over the diaper.

-He has no desire AT ALL to potty train.

-He has to pick out his own shirt, I now can't even come into the room while he is doing this.

-He sings. I have caught him a few times singing a wheels on the bus song, not sure what it is but i hear a pretty good melody.

-He loves making up new games with daddy.

- Today I found him outside trying to convince a bird that was across the yard to sit on his finger, it was pretty funny.

So after his 3 year appt. tomorrow I will post some pics, his height and weight comparison and some of his favorite things.

Menu Plan Monday

There were some really good recipes in last week's menu. The herbed zuchinni noodles, Stir fry beef & snow peas and the Parmesean chicken. I had alot of the spice mix left over from the zuchinni noodles and I added that on top of the parmesean chicken and it was so good. Make sure you check these all out.

-Salsa Verse Braides Pork, tortillas

-Balsamic Chicken w/mushroms, Cheesy mashed potatoes

-Sausage & White bean Cassoulet, whole wheat rolls

-Tilapia w/ fresh herbs, asparagus, brown rice

-Homemade pizza on pitas

"Wyatt do it"

So I have been hearing this alot "Wyatt do it"
He loves to do things himself right now. Here are a few pics of some of the things he likes to do himself.

Putting the straw in his juice box.

Getting the mail.
This last pic is blurry, but wyatt now likes to put his own ketchup on his plate.

And this last picture is of wyatt's new hat, he picked it out himself. He likes to wear it all the time.

Pizza, made w/ pita bread

Something fish, no clue yet what.

Saturday- I work all night at crop at the LSS and DH and kids will be at sister's house for UFC fight

Sorry!

So sorry I haven't been on in awhile. Busy with sisters, then I got sick and had my boys here for spring break 2 weeks in a row. Plus lots of drama at work, but I hope to be back blogging this week.

I will leave you with these pictures from the easter egg hunt.

Wyatt was a little impatient,
wanted to start before everyone

Menu Plan Monday

Ok so it's not Monday, but I have been off on my menu planning and now that my dear husband has been working out and eating healthy, I figure I better start making menus again so I can watch what we eat a little better.
I am so proud of this man, he was a burger (ok 2 burger) and fries kind of guy and he made this change and has stuck to it. Now before I met him, while he was in the Marines, he used to eat healthy and was way into body building so it's not new for him, just has been a long time.

So this is the menu through next weekend.

-Rosemary Chix w/ white beans, salad

-Steak, Herbed Zuchinni noodles

-Spicy Thai Shrimp , brown rice

-Turkey burgers, Homemade fries

-Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad

-Fish, scallops, veggies, Saffron rice

-Left overs

-Eat out one night (it never fails so I might as well plan for it)

I think I'm allergic to Spring break..

So a week ago, I got up and felt just fine, drove to a couple scrappin stores on my way to North Bend (1 1/2 hrs away) to pick my boys up for their spring break. We ended up taking the ferry home and I felt just fine. We stopped by my parents house at about 6pm, just to say hi and so the boys could see their Aunt Beth and her kids before they left the next day. Out of know where I get a sore throat and my head hurts, so we leave and go home. We all settle down for the night and I wake up the next morning and feel icky. I had to work a 1-6 shift at the store, I go in after medicating myself with sudifed. Felt yucky, but made it through the night, I get home and went straight to bed. And there I stayed until Tuesday afternoon when Ifinally went into the doctors.
AHHHH I felt so bad and was starting to have a real tight chest and it was getting harder to breath. The doctor (which is whole another story, I went to high school with the guy, weird) didn't say if I had anything or what it was and I didn't ask any question because he gave me a inhaler and put me on amoxicillin.
Let me tell you after just 2 doses of amoxicillin and a good night sleep I felt like a new woman. No more pain, chills, sweats, ok so i still have a bad loud rough cough and runny nose, but I feel so great compared to what I did for those 4 days.
So my poor boys took care of me for their spring break and had no fun. I had planned so much for us to do and instead I spent it in bed.
Sorry boys, but thank you for asking me everytime I coughed if 'I was ok' or evertime I woke up if 'I felt any better'. Love you two.
