pics and a recipe

Here is my scrap space, it isn't my actuall living room but it is in it. There is not much to do in the living room we cam only do one thing and that is where it is at, but i an always adding new organizing ideas to my scrap space.

It still feels to cluttered, but maybe that is just because i have to much stuff, nah couldn't be that.
Here is my new tins, it is so nice having everything off my table.
A place for my paints, buttons and flowers.
For Christmas Wyatt got a desk/easel and he loves it. I had to go buy no spill paint cups and the minute I brought them home yesterday he had to paint.
Beef Stew with Molasses and Raisins
So we had this last night and I was a little scared at what it was going to taste like because of the molasses, but man this was awesome. YUMMY!

1/3 C flour
2 tsp salt, divided
1 1/2 tsp black pepper, divided
2 lbs boneless beef chick roast, cut into 1 1/2 in. pieces
5 Tbsp oil, divided
2 medium onions, sliced
1 can (28oz) diced tomatoes, drained
1 C beef broth
3 Tbsp molasses
2 Tbsp cider vinegar
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp celery salt
1 bay leaf
1 small package (8 oz) baby carrots, cut into halves lengthwise
2 parsnips, diced
1/2 C golden raisins (we left this out)

Slow Cooker directions-

1. Combine flour, 1 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp pepper in large bowl. Toss beef in flour mixture. Heat 2 Tbsp oil in large skillet or Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add half of beef; brown on all sides. Remove browned beef; set aside. Repeat with 2 Tbsp oil and remaining beef.

2. Add remaining 1 Tbsp oil to skillet. Add onions; cool and stir about 5 minutes, scraping up any browned bits from bottom of skillet. Add tomatoes, broth, molasses, vinegar, garlic, thyme, celery salt, bay leaf, and remaining 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper. Bring to boil. add browned beef;boil 1 minute.

3. Transfer mixture to slow cooker. Cove; cook on LOW for 5 hours or on HIGH 2 1/2 hours. Add carrots , parsnips and raisins. Cook 1 to 2 hours more or until vegetables are tender. Remove and discard bay leaf.

When you can't sleep at 4:30am...

YOU BLOG !
I love putting Christmas decorations up, but I also love taking them down just as much I think.

A time to start over and get started on the new year. Kind of a out with the old in with the new.

I think my list To Do list is just as long after Christmas as it is before. Derek back to work (due to weather he hasn't worked in over a week), Colton and Wyatt back to school on the 6Th, boys home after a week visit, back to normal menus (speaking of, this weeks posted below), getting caught up on scrapbooking, new ringtones/ringback and blog back to normal.
Time to start getting back to being frugal with the money too. Get some stuff paid off and start saving. That is my goal this year save save save. Also I would like to start exercising. I cut out caffeine/soda (it's been 2 months) and have actually lost a little weight so I figure it is time to take that next step.
Also a big project I'm working on today- Getting the last of the organization for my scrap space done. Derek helped me put up the towel rack with the buckets finally. So now the table just need to get cleaned off and a few more things situated.

~Molasses Beef Stew w/ rolls

Christmas at our house...

**Due to weather conditions some christmas gifts were not opened on Christmas, if you don't see pics of your gifts on here I will post when they are gotten and opened.

Dixie got a stocking too and she carried it around till we took the duck out.
Derek got this hat from a buddy, he actually gave it to 6 other guys too. It says US Beer Drinking Team.Wyatt was hugging each gift.Wyatt got a bunch of train stuff from his papa and teetah. He was so funny, he would look at each item, say what it was and throw it behind him till the box was empty. The boys got Nintendo ds's from their dad (he sent it with them for them to open)We gave them games for it. They loved it. Ryan said this was his best Christmas ever.So they aren't plowing any side roads here,so my parents road was pretty bad. The neighbor Garrett and my husband got on Garrett's tractors yesterday and plowed the road down. They were having so much fun.
Baby abby and me.Wyatt got a shaving kit from aunt Dani and he had fun shaving with daddy this morning.

More snow....

This was our snow day yesterday. We all went outside and played for a good two hours or so. We built a snowman and that lead to a snowball fight.
This first picture is of Dixie she kept going around and trying to steal everyone's gloves, she succeeded with Wyatt's.

Our snowman. So I measured last night and this morning and we are at 10 inches. Holy Moly that is alot of snow. I hope to get some shots of intown today. It is just so weird to see so much snow everywhere. There are quads driving around on the main streets the snow has been so bad.

Sleepover
Cousin Mikey slept over last night so we all put together the gingerbread train I bought last month. They had alot of fun and wanted a pic of all of us at teh end with our creation. Random from the last couple of days
Little Abby, is she not the cutest.
Wyatt with his new favorite, strawberry milkshakes from Shari's.
Just thinking about this makes me giggle. We were at Old Navy getting gifts and wyatt kept hiding from us. He climbed under this rake of clothes, feet hangin out, yelling "FIND ME" It even made a passer by laugh.
