MPM

Well my son, Zach, went home on Friday and Ryan stayed so I won't do breakfasts on my menu anymore, but I will keep up with the lunches. It made it so nice having those done. I went shopping at our local grocery store, Safeway, and they had some great meat on sale, so this week went a little different, I shopped before I made my menu, plus we are using up what is left in the house also. So for lunches they there are all repeats. Need to empty out the fridge and cupboards.

Need more dinner ideas check out Laura's blog for her Menu Plan Mondays. It has helped me out so much, I love looking at all the ladies menus fo rthe week. And if you want to see what's happening in my little neck of the woods check out MY blog. Hope to see you there.

Not to much going on.. Just checkin in

Not that there are many people who read this, but I thought I'd write down for those of who do what is going on right now at our house. It's 7:49am and Wyatt has been up siince 6:30, which of course means so have I. I was hoping to sleep in today, but he wasnt having it.
Now he is freaking out about wanting a Baba (bottle), not sure why it isn't like he gets it during the day, but sometimes he just gets so crazy about wanting one. Well that was good he just took a cup instead without a major blow up.
So this weekend is pretty full with stuff to do. Today we are helping set up for a baby shower that I am helping give tomorrow. Now you might say how much do you need to set up, well this shower is a Couples outside BBQ. We have 70 guest coming and 16 couples that still have not rsvp'd. Since it is outside we are helping Ginny (the owner of the house it is being given at) do a little outside work, you know mowing, weeding, and getting the tables up. Then a little Costco trip for some of the stuff we haven't gotten yet. Know the nice thing about this shower is there will be no baby shower games, the mom isn't into that kind of stuff. Which is ok by me less to plan. Then on Sunday is the shower. I hope it goes ok. We are only serving Fish, hot dogs, hamburgers, drinks and chips we are having everyone else bring a potluck dish. We did this since there are so many people coming, to much for us to try to feed. The weather is supposed to be good and get even better through the week, which will be nice for the fourth of July (not that we have anything planned).
I also am trying to plan my menu for this next week. Safeway had some great deals on meat so I already have things bought just need to plan around that, which is hard for me, I like to do it the other way around, alot easier for me. The weather is supposed to be great this week, high 70s low 80s, so i think we will be BBQing alot. We don't have anything planned for the 4th, but i am sure that will be a grill day also.
Ok well Wyatt is trying to climb on the back of my chair and it is starting to bother me so I should go and see what he needs, hope you all have a great weekend. I sure will try to.

PS> Mike and Amy I hope your Open house goes well. Congrats agian.

Trip to the Waterfront!

This was some weird fish that some guy was showing the boys.
They are in huge puddles, under these huge rocks. They were
kind of gross looking. They had huge mouths.

Menu Plan Monday

So all has been good so far. The boys here for the summer is going good, without a car though they do get bored easy.
Having the breakfast and lunch menu has helped out alot, this way the boys know what we are having and there has not been to much complaining. We did have a few issues with what Zach the 9 yo will eat so we made a deal and he helps with breakfast and luch ideas (with my approval), but he can't complain about what i make for dinner. SO here is our menu for this week.

Monday B- Cold cereal
L-English muffin pizza

Tuesday B-Waffles & fruit
L-PB & J sandwiches, chips

Wednesday B-Cinnamon toast & fruit

L- Beef Roni, veggies

Thursday B-Eggs & Toast
L-Grilled cheese & tomato soup

Friday B-Cold cereal & fruit
L-Nachos

Saturday B-Cinnamon toast & fruit
L-Corn dogs & mac n cheese

Dinners
Teriyaki Chicken, rice

Crockpot Meatloaf, corn & noodles
Grilled Hamburgers, veggies, chips
Pizza Breadstick Casserole(see below), salad
Italian Chicken & Potatoes , veggies
Tacos

Pizza Breadstick Casserole

1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. sausage
½ C diced pepperoni (from 6oz. package)
5 green onions, sliced
1 ½ C chunky pasta sauce (26 oz. jar)
1 box Pillsbury refrigerated Parmesan breadsticks with garlic
1 C shredded Colby-Jack cheese blend

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a 13 x 9 pan.
In a skillet cook ground beef. When done drain, add pasta sauce, onions and pepperoni. Cook until bubbly. To ensure that the undersides of the breadsticks cook completely, be sure the meat mixture is piping hot when you top it with the breadsticks.
Meanwhile, unroll the dough into 1 large rectangle. Spread the garlic mixture from box evenly over dough. Separate dough into 10 breadsticks. Cut each breadstick into 3 crosswise pieces.
Spoon ground beef mixture into baking dish and top with breadsticks. Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until topping is no longer doughy. Sprinkle with cheese. Bake 10 more minutes or until cheese is melted.

Yea I think that is what I will do.

Also now we found out that it is going to take awhile to get my car up and running, ahhh I hate not having a car. You don't realize how much you use it till it's gone. So now I am going to need to find stuff for me a 2, 8 & 10 yo to do for fun at home. Hopefully it will be nice outside so they can play most of the time.

A full day of pictures.

I am so excited, finally flowers are poping up around the house. I have been waiting since we moved in to see what we have. So here are a few pictures.

And if you can tell in the picture of wyatt up top he got his haircut. He did ok, he didn't want to sit there so I had to brib him with a fruit somootie. It got him sitting long enough for the lady to cut his hair.
