Random pics from last week

*Here are a few pics of Wyatt at his last soccer game. He does good the first half but gets frustrated half way through. He just doesn't get that he has to go after the ball it just doesn't come to him. He did have the ball once was almost at the goal and one of his team mates took it from him and scored a goal, that is when Wyatt lost all interest in the game. (can't blame him to much this has happened several times, must get frustrating to have the ball take from you)

At this point he kept distracting himself. His shin guards bother him so he pulled his sock all the way down cause he didn't want them on.

So here he is finally done, he just wouldn't play anymore. He sat on the side for the last quarter.

*So I have been using envelopes for my coupons and finally decided I needed something easier to use. So I made this book. I still can't put them all in here but I figure it will work for awhile.

*Wyatt had a soccer game the day they made the firetruck at Lowe's. Derek drove down to Lowes and got it for him so they could make it later that night. He really loves making these things, he also loves to play with them too.
*So this pic is pretty funny I went to get in the shower yesterday and found this on my shower wall. Wyatt loves when Derek draws for him so I guess during Derek's shower the other day Wyatt had him draw this truck for him. Those two are so funny.

Hangs like a monkey

Wyatt has really loved preschool so far this year. He has lots of new friends and some are old. He has 5 from his class last year. This made it nice for these kids, so they kind of new people already. He tells me he has a new friend and when you ask him what his name is he says 'I don't know, he's just my friend'. He talks about his teachers all the time so I am assuming he likes them, lol.
One thing he has been talking alot about is hanging upside down in the classroom. I wasn't to sure what he was talking about and he said he would have the teacher take a pic for me. I know they can't really do that so I convinced him to let me come in to class yesterday and have him show me. He had no problem with me taking a pic so I could show everyone what he could now do.
He is getting so big and grown up.
We are still having problems with soccer. It just isn't the greatest right now. He doesn't pay attention and kind of wanders off on his own. The coach will try to tell him to do something, like get the ball, and he just kind of sits there and ignore them, like he thinks it's funny. It has been hard cause I think the coaches get to the point that they leave him out of doing stuff because they want the kids who are trying to have time to practice without having to pick Wyatt and get him to do things. I totally understand this, but feel bad for Wyatt cause he isn't getting a chance and eventually realizes and says he wants a turn. It was really hard last practice I had to walk away cause I started tearing up, I just don't understand why he is like this cause he isn't with other things. He is so different when paying soccer. But he says he doesn't want to quit and he likes it so we will keep working on it. I have to remember that he has never even seen soccer played so it is all new to him.

Confessions

Ok so this blog is all about coming clean....

I am so not as organized as I thought. Really it seems like I am but sometimes I wonder if to much organizing gets in my way. Or am I organized enough and just need a better plan to get it all done. I just don't feel like I have it all together sometimes. I really try to be, but I just feel like I can't do it all and I don't get everything I want done on a daily basis. So it's not all jsut about organizing I guess I is getting it all done.

With cleaning (this includes everything in the house: laundry, vacuuming, dishes, etc.), outside yardwork, driving Wyatt around now to soccer and school, picking Colton up weekends, being the classroom mom (this is new this year), meal planning, shopping, cooking 3 meals a day, blogging, couponing (this has really paid off for us), alone time with Derek (which hasn't happened to much with his night job), being a mommy, scrapbooking (which has taken a back burner), watching my shows (thank goodness for the dvr), working out, me time.

Now don't get me wrong I love a good challenge and I love being organized and getting it all done, but I think i need to get a better system. What do you do??

Here is what i do now-

I have my calender and dry erase board at my desk. I figure this is where my phone and computer is so it works best here for me; to make appt., pay bills or just see what is going on on a daily basis. On the dry erase board I have a list of monthly bills and I put the amount and due date on them and when I pay them for the month I just cross them off. On the calender has holidays, days off for school, when the boys are here, birthdays, appts.
What I would like to do better- I have gotten really bad about birthdays, it is like I see them coming and tell myself ok need to send a card, but ya the day comes and goes and it doesn't get done.

On my fridge I have a dry erase board that I put my daily To Dos on and I have a magnet clip that I put my menu and/or the recipes for the week on . This is actually really working well for me. It is all where I can see it, love this spot. This works well for me.

Now this spot is new I have Wyatt's soccer schedule (which is also on my calender, this is just a better view for Derek cause he never looks at the calender), school paperwork and rebates. Wyatt also puts his art work on here, which kind of gets in the way and falls into the dog bowls. What I would like to do better- I need a better way to put all the paperwork and newsletters Wyatt will be getting in school. What do you do with your school paperwork, and art work?
So now on to my couponing. When I print and clip coupons I put them in two envelopes; one is for food and one for everything else. These envelopes go into a ziplock bag along with coupons and lists of things I will be using at a store that day. Every few weeks I go through and put upcoming expiring coupons up front or if I don't think I will use them in time I give them away to family and throw expired ones away.
What I would like to do better- Um anything for this would be better, it works ok i guess but i think i might be missing some coupons and if I am at a store and know i have a coupon for something i want to get I have to go through the whole stack to find it.

I just want to know how you do it all....
being a mom, organizing, working (if you do)
So I am hoping this will either help me see what I need to change or that someone out there can tell me what they do different that might help me out. If you do something different I hope you post a comment and let us know what you do.

First Day

Today was Wyatt's first day of school, it was a short day so that the kids who are new could get used to it. Wyatt had a great day he just didn't want it to end. He will now go Mon, Wed, and Fridays from 12:30 to 3p. It will be weird to have him gone this long, but he loves it.

Soccer Practice #1

Well Wyatt had his first soccer practice last night. Not quit what I expected- he had no focus and ran in circles alot. Derek kept asking me ' What is he doing?'

He was last when they were running, kind of went on his own when they were talking to the group, kept asking the coaches What do we do when we win?, kept saying he was tired, when they would ask him his name he went on some tangent about his new soccer shins and socks. It is funny the kid can sit for hours playing with his trains, but couldn't focus for that hour on practice.

But all in all I think he had fun!

I think it is just going to take a little longer for him to catch on. He did this one funny thing, need to try to get it on video, when he would be dribbling and he would miss the ball he would run all the way around the ball and start kicking it again when he made it all the way around.

Grant's Farm

On Friday we went to Grant's Farm in St.Louis. It was the home of General Ulysses S Grant, but the property is now owned by the Busch family. It was alot of fun to see all the animals and each adult got 2 free beers.
So here is one of the gates, don't think they really use it right now, but the fence that is connected to it is made of Civil War rifles.
So on the tram you ride around the farm and see all kinds of animals. We saw horses, donkeys, deer, elk, buffalo, ducks, geese, and different kinds of cattle. They have over 1000 animals on the farm form 6 different continents.

We got a few bottles to feed the goats, yea going inside the fence was a bad idea. They totally attack you and push each other out of the way to get to the food. We had to go outside the fence to finish cause they were attacking Wyatt and he got a little freaked out.

Wyatt and I got to ride together on the Merry Go Round.

So this is Bud the elephant. We got to watch alittle show about him and that blue bar in his mouth was part of the show, but he stole it from the girl and ate it. I guess this has happened a few times, but this time he ate the ball that was on the end of the metal stick. No he did not eat the bar but he did chewed it up. Us on the tram riding around the farm.
At the end of the farm you got to go over and meet the Budweiser horses. This colt really wanted Wyatt to pet him, he came up to him and kind of nudge his head to him, was really cute.
