Turning 2!

Well Wyatt turns 2 tomorrow. It is so weird when I think about how big he has gotten. He is saying words (most are ones only he knows what they mean), he has learned how to jump off the ground and how to kick a ball. Every day is a new experience with him. He has learned how to be sneaky too. The other day he brought me a Swiss cake roll and I told him no and took it from him. Well a few minutes later I went into his room to check on him and he was sitting on the bottom bunk bed had the box of the cakes with him, had opened one and was eating it. That kid. He loves to clap and say YEA. Knows the sound of a bus and goes running to the kitchen window to say "bush" as it passes and loves loves his trains. He carries them around and gets very upset if he can't take them to bed with him.

Here are a few recent pictures of him playing in the dirt and with the rocks I am digging out of my yard.

So the last few days I have been taking over my kitchen table and charging up my creative juices. Wyatt was right there TRYING to help me, of course it was more of a pain then help. But he loves to be at the table with me. Several of the layouts below are scraplifted, but belive it or not some our my own.

My growing weed!

Thanks Aunt Amy for the shirt.

Here is wyatt playing outside at out house. He loves to be outside, ride his bike and play on his outdoor toy (thanks randy, teresa, ben, and marylee)
Hard to believe he is going to be 2 in less than 2 weeks. He is getting so big, you can see it in everything he does. He's trying to same more words. Everytime he sees a bus or any large vehicle he says "bust". When you ask what a monkey says he says "oooh". He calls trains "choo choos". Baby Einstein is "Ein". Truck is "kuck". Outside is "Ide". Corndog and Hotdog is "gaw".
We still have alot of problems with sleeping, but it is getting better, at least for the last few nights.
I know alot of you won't be here for his birthday, but I will post pictures after it. We are having a BBQ with friends and family on May 12. I'll let you know how it goes.

Birthday Planning

Well only 3 1/2 weeks left to the party and still alot to do. I have to get the invites out this weekend, just have to wait to get copies of pics I had taken at JcP. I am hand making them so I hope they turn out ok. I know it's only his second bday, but I don't have much else to do and I love planning parties so this is the only thing to do, plan a big party.

I was going to do a theme, but he is into so much and it always seems to change (right now cars and trains) so I decided to just combine them both and use bright colors. I will buy a few happy Bday banners and red, blue, and yellow balloons. we are going to have a BBQ since most of the people coming are adults. Because we don't do anything he really has no friends to play with (need to work on that, but that is another post). I was thinking of getting a big tub adn filling it with ice and that will hold the drinks. We will proobably just have hamburgers, chips, etc.

The cake is simple, but cute. I will use blue, red and yellow on this also. OK I will make this cake or have someone do it for me, if I don't find something else instead before then. He will get the top piece for himself. And I think the words will say "You are 2" and I will have 2s all over the bottom.

Now the invitations are pretty cute and I hope they turn out. looked for an hour yesterday on the computer for ideas and it will look something like this. The picture on the front will be one of him playing with his trains. So again I hope the turn out OK.
So this is my ideas so far. Not much else going on here. We bought a new self propelled mower on Easter and I love it. It makes mowing so easy and quick. So hopefully when D gets home today we can mow a littel, weather permitting. Weird I actually am looking forward to mowing. Ok maybe not I just looked outside and it is raining. I guess i will work on the invites tonight instead maybe. Ok well my sister should be here soon to go help me look for the right paper for the invites so I will talk to you all later.

Being sick stinks!

I hate being sick. On our second morning in the new house I woke up with a real deep cough and my chest felt like someone was sitting one me crushing my chest. So I just assumed it was probably heartburn, this continued for 2 days and finally I figured I just need to go to the docs and get something to take to calm the cough so my chest didn't hurt so bad. So as I posted before he gave me a inhaler well like he said it'll only get worse....

Oh boy does it get worse. Ahhh I feel like death. Now it has turned into a sinus thing. My head is killing me, I blow my nose every two seconds, cough every second, with a few sneeze's in between. My chest doesn't hurt so bad, heck I think I would rather have that than what I have now. My eye sockets, nose and teeth are pounding,

I know Derek tries to help out, well if I ask him too. I just wish guys understood when we are sick we can't do what we normally do. Now yesterday was the only day I was out for the count every other day I have done what needed to be done around the house an dwith Wyatt, but I just needed one day of rest. Not getting up every second to deal with Wyatt, is that to much to ask. I'd say 50% of the time I got that the other 50% was me saying 'Please Derek just get him, I am dying.' He would, but why can't they do it without asking. When will men ever get mommies get sick too. When he is sick I am right there letting him rest, making Wyatt leave him alone, getting him what ever he needs. When do I get that, when do mommies get there day of rest????

I was up most of the night coughing, and up for over an hour with Wyatt (he just wouldn't sleep) so I finally I brought him into bed with me and he feel right asleep, now of course I couldn't sleep since he was drapped all over me. And who got up with him at 7am, bright and early..... ME!

Ok I am done whinning I just need to let of a little steam cause me saying it to Derek doesn't change anything.

Hope your day is a little better than I think mine is going to be.

New addition to the family!

No it's not what you think. I AM NOT PREGNANT! As some of you know Wyatt's favorite thing right now is the Cars movie, he also loves his cars that look like the characters from the movie. So every time we go to Target or Walmart we look to see if we can find a new one. Some are harder to find then others. So yesterday while we were at Fred Meyers getting stuff for the house I thought ahh we'll look and see what they have and OH MY they had Chick Hick. Now this is one of the hardest ones to find. I was so happy, I have to say I think more than Wyatt was. So Chick Hick is our new addition.
OK sorry if my typing is off to tonight. I started coughing yesterday morning, nothing big, but my chest started to hurt really bad. It was hard to breathe and coughing was getting painful. So tonight I went in to get it checked just to get something to take to get rid of the pain. And the doctor said that if I had a fever he would have said I had bronchitis so he gave me and inhaler, and man that gives you the shakes. Oh his words of encouragement , "It'll probably get worse before it gets better." Nice. He did say to watch for a fever and take it easy, ya has he met my son?!

We are in the new house.

Well Derek and I are now homeowners. We got the keys on Friday at around 4. Wow still doesn't feel like it is ours, I guess that is what happens when you rent for so long. When we right that first mortgage check out, I bet that will help. We started moving Saturday morning. It went pretty fast a couple of Derek's friends from work, my sister, dad and mom helped out with the move and it only rained off and on. So with everyone's help we were done that night. It is now Tuesday and all I really have left is hanging pictures. I want to thank Ginny and the Samuel's for the great housewarming gifts, the gift cards will come in handy for those much needed house things we apartment dewelers didn't have. That is another thing you don't realize, is all the kinds of stuff you need living in a house, we have NO outside tools, dish drainer (boo hoo no dishwasher), etc. OK well now I am rambling so i should go and hang some more pictures. I'll send some more pictures when we get things put away.

Turning two.

So it's time to start thinking about Wyatt's 2nd birthday. I know it's a 1 1/2 month away and he's 2 and doesn't care...blah blah blah. I heard it last year on his first birthday, but you know it was so much fun I am doing it agian. Here are a few pictures to jog your memories. Ahhh... he was so little then.

He is just growing up so much and is such a great kid I have to celebrate it with everyone. Plus this year it will be in OUR own house. Invite everyone over for a BBQ. Should be fun, plus Wyatt will have more fun this time around,I'm sure. AND maybe my kitchen would be done by then, woooo that would be cool. Ok just random thoughts by me. This is kind of fun being able to type random things I think about in here.

Saturday, March 10, 2007

Well I am following my sister Beth and doing a little posting about my day. I didn't go to bed last night till about 11:30, I haven't been sleeping to much. I have been worrynig about the house alot, expenses, what needs to be done and what we want to do on the house first, moving day (and how it's supposed to rain a ton that day), and just making sure I have done everything i need to on it. We sign all the closing papers on this Thursday, the 15th, YEA! Get the keys on friday and start moving in. I am hoping to be cleaning the rental by sunday night. But what I want to happen never happens that way, so I need to just go with the flow. Well so far today Wyatt and I watched Cars, several times, went to a few stores, the bank, had our lunch and then at 1 I layed him down for his nap. I turned on 'Stick It' and sat down and started scraping a Mini albumn for him (Wyatt) with pictures of his favorite things and family in it. Hoping that he will get to know everyones face a little better before everyone shows up here in 26 days. YEA! I can't wait to see everyone and hang out with all them, show them my new house, have them help me pick out colors to paint, and scrapbook. Oh girls I hope you are ready to do some serios scrappin. Derek is working overtime today, fourth saturday in a row. They are pretty busy at work and we also are trying to get some money saved to do some needed repairs on the house. I am so glad he likes his job, as much as he has been there lately. This is his last week of school and the new quarter will start in two weeks. His dirt bike is broken, again. So he won't be riding on it for awhile, not because of the part (it's $4), but the weather is soooo crappy right now he doesn't like to ride in the rain. They get so cold and wet I guess they can't feel their hands or toes. Well not much else going on here so I am going to go and finish the album. Bye.

We move in next weekend, YEA!

Well the sellers agreed to take the price down $2000 to help us pay for redoing the electrical in the house. And we should have home insurance tomorrow. We were having a problem getting it because the fuse box is so old, but Sam (the insurance man) said that if that is the first thing we can get done they will insure us. So that is a big load off our shoulders. So we close the house and sign all the paper work next thursday, and we will move in next weekend. I am so excited, I just want to get in there and start living in OUR new house, not an apartment or in someone elses home renting from them.

Home Inspection done, one more step closer.

Well we had the Home inspection today. The inspector, Darryl, who did it is the greatest. He is such a nice guy, so thorow, and was so funny. It was also nice cause he took dh and I around to everything and explained it all to us. There is alot of stuff wrong with this house, but he said if we are willing to take the next couple of years and just go room by room it would be well worth it in the long run. Or biggest concern is the electrical, it all needs to be redone. None of the three prong outlets are grounded, no i dont know what that means, but he says it's not legal. SO we will have to pay for that first and formost. So my kitchen gets put on the back burner (lol) for now, along with the scrap room. That sucks. But we would have our own house and that is most important to me US! So sorry girls I wanted the kitchen done when you got here, but it may not happen. Rats. I guess you will all just have to come back up and see the house when we are done.
But we really do like the house and the area is great. And if you crouch down just right in the front yard and look sideways, inbetween several trees across the street, you can see the water. Sooo pretty!

Friday, March 02, 2007

Well we go tthe house appraised today and they gave us a layout of the house. Here is our house, inside.

Wednesday, February 28, 2007

We are now Homeowners!

We got signed around yesterday, which means the house is ours. They now can not back out. We still could if something went wrong. We still need to have home inspection done for our peace of mind and if anything is really wrong we can still back out. Derek and his friends can do alot of work themselves so most things won't be a problem, but we don't want to miss anything major (like mold) that would cost us alot of money later. So YEA I am so excited and can't wait toget moved in and start on my scraproom and paint the walls of my own house.

The waiting game.

Well we now are just waiting to see if our offer was accepted. Waiting, waiting, waiting, who knew it could be so long. And it isn't like it was to long around 24 hours and you figure 8 of them are sleeping, but the last two are the worst. They have to have an answer by noon today, which is an hour away so I should have some kind of answer soon. Let you know as soon as I do.

Buying a house - The process.

Well we went and looked at the house on Illahee yesterday, it was our first choice house (yellow one). Our friend and contractor, Tom, went and inspected it for us while we were there. Now this house isn't perfect and it needs some work, but it is such a cute and charming house. It has so much potential and we can't wait to get to work on it. While there our realtor called the selling agent and found out there was another offer on the house, our hearts dropped, but if we could beat their offer we could purchase it. The asking price is $175,00 so we were fine with it, but will pay no more than that though. First reason is to much does have to be done to the house so it isn't worth more than than and second we can't afford anymore of a payment than that.
So today our agent is putting in an offer and we should know by end of today if she accepts, then the loan paper work will begin. Then we also can get going on getting an inspection done to make sure the house is worth buying, making sure there are no problems.
I can't belive how much money, time, and sweat goes into buying a house. I will be prepared next time. We don't plan on staying in this one forever, 2-5 years. Once it is fixed up and I can get a job (once Wyatt starts school) then we will upgrade. Well that is all that is going on now. I am copying some paper work and waiting to receive our 06 tax returns so I can fax them to the broker, then we will be on our way, YEA! Pray for us that all goes ok and this will go through.

Top house.

So my kids and I drove around for 2 1/2 hours yesterday and drove by 10 houses of interest. Five were thrown from the pile immedialty, for reason of either no real parking, no garage, apartment like setting or no yard, but here are a few that made the cut. Some of these were vacant so I did get to see inside, but we have not walked through to see the inside or the structure of the house.

And they are in order of which we like best.

House #1 In the Illahee (Bremerton) area. View from across the street. And it is on 1/4 and acre. The Fully Fenced yard in back.
This is the garage with Hobby shop attaced, which would be fixed up for my scrap room.
House #2 Just outside Gorst. Has a two car garage, they dont have doors, but DH would fix that eventually. And it is on almost a half acre and is fully fenced.

House #3 just outside Gorst also very cute cottage setting, but railroad tracks run right in front of the house and we are not sure if these are in service, so that will be something we have to check on.It is the green house behind the trees.

Join us on our journey to buying a home.

Well we looked at a few houses today. Nothing to promising, actually they were both dumps. The first had great land and neighbors, but to much work needed to be done inside.
The second well lets just say Amittyville would have been a better house. You drove past trashy mobile home park , up this one lane road over railroad tracks and when you pulled up to the house it was like, well lets just say the house had no windows they were either broken or boardered up. The kitchen was huge, but what was left in it was powder blue. The floor was like walking on the ocean is was so uneven. Then you walked outside and it looked ok till the trees stopped blocking your view and you saw the power station off to the left and the power towers on either side of the house 20 feet away. It was scary and also need even more work then the house before.
But no fear I am driving by 5 or 6 more tomorrow that didn't seem to bad from the pics. So I will let you know tomorrow how it goes.

ScrapJacked

So I found this great blog called Scrapjacked. There challenge this week was by Amber Skolnick. Here it is:

And here is my take on it. Thanks for looking.

Presidents weekend, lots of fun!

Pulling Zach's tooth, with good old string and a door.
Wyatt looking as cute as ever with his cheesy grin.

Wyatt wasn't to sure about the Quad. He kind of actually looks kind of scary there. Wyatt had to be right there while Zach played the computer.

The boys coloring.

Wyatt Video

Here is some video of Wyatt from last Friday. Zach and Andrew were playing ball with this pop-up tee, and Wyatt was having a blast watching them. Everytime they would swing at the ball, he would laugh like this. He did it for quite a while, too. He thought they were so funny.
